MCA STCW Proficiency in Elementary First Aid 

This course meets the requirements of Section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code of Training in Elementary First aid and units A11 and A16 of the marine national occupational standards.

This course is part of the requirements for basic training for seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board ship on the business of that ship as part of the ship's complement with designated safety or pollution prevention duties in the operation of the ship.

 

This training must be undertaken before new entrants are assigned to any such shipboard duties

Duration – One Day or Two Evenings min 6 hours Max 10 hours depending on group size and ability.

Ratio 12:1

No prior Knowledge needed

Please wear appropriate clothing for working on the floor for CPR and Recovery Position 

Certification

The certificate will state that the candidate has;
completed a program of training by the
Maritime and Coastguard Agency
