Just a quick note to say thanks for the course last Saturday. Was a really enjoyable course (well as enjoyable as learning about resuscitation can be!), and filled in a lot of gaps since my last one a few years back.
I’ll be sure to recommend to anyone else I know who is looking for shore-based training.
|I just wanted to say thank you again for your support and help on The Day Skipper Course. Your excellent teaching skills, patience ( a prerequisite with us more mature students! ) and great sense of humour made the whole process good fun and enjoyable|

Please can you pass on our thanks to John and Paul for inviting us along
for the Sailing Day yesterday.
It was a brilliant experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves -
although Russ is reasonably experienced in small dinghies, he learnt a lot
and found the day very rewarding.
Although I was initially apprehensive about the crossing - I soon relaxed
and discovered that I really enjoyed sailing on that size of yacht! (Much
better than dinghies that tend to capsize!)
The lunch was delicious too - and we very much appreciated the hospitality.

|I wanted to write to you to thank you again, because surprisingly we made very good use of your training.|
Firstly, I prepared all the storm sails as recommended, before departure.
Then on the outward delivery trip, I insisted that our limited crew of 3 fit and hoist the storm sails, check out the sheeting points etc, and we had F6&7 but mainly off the wind.
What a good exercise that was when on the way back, my son with 2 crew has significant weather, including several hours of F9 with gusts up to 49knot. They put the storm sails up in a 7 on the nose, and ended up hove too under storm sails for 5 hours. They were tired but safe, minor damage when the storm jib track pulled out of the deck a little.
We were all glad to have taken the training and heeded the advice.
